Rahul Chaturvedi is the founder and CEO of ONCE Labs Inc., a leading end-to-end Industrial Internet of Things solution provider. He is a 25 year wireless industry veteran and a prolific innovator.
Rahul invented the MiFi, thereby launching a new multi-billion dollar global device category called ‘mobile hotspot’. The technology is now incorporated in all smartphones. Rahul was the first person to conceptualize and develop multi-band mobile USB devices that were previously thought to be impossible to design. Using technology from MIT Media Labs, he recently commercialized a medication reminder product line called GlowCaps.
Rahul’s career spans well recognized companies in the wireless industry including Motorola, Qualcomm, Kyocera, and Novatel Wireless with increasing levels of responsibility. Prior to consumer wireless business, Rahul was involved in NASA contract work where he participated in the design of environmental controls of the Space Station Freedom.
Rahul has a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and computer science from Birla Institute of Technology, India, and a master’s degree in electrical engineering from New Mexico State University.
He presently resides in San Diego with his wife and two daughters. Rahul is a passionate innovation mentor for high school students.
Avinash has been at the forefront of wireless innovation playing key technical roles in the development of 1x EV-DV, HSPA, LTE, IEEE 802.11-AD and RPMA communication protocols. He has over 15 years of R&D experience in communications and systems engineering at Qualcomm and Ingenu. With more than 50 patents and 3 journal publications, most notably on quantum networks, Avinash is one of the most prolific inventors in the industry.
Avinash has a Bachelors of Technology in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai, India, and Master of Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champagne. After receiving C.Phil from the University of California, San Diego, Avinash joined Ingenu, where he led efforts to make RPMA a global Low Power Wide Area technology and created several successful IoT applications utilizing narrow band communications. With passion for technology and problem solving, Avinash is always conceptualizing and finding unconventional ways to address complex and stubborn engineering challenges.
Rudy Kraus has accrued over three decades of experience founding, leading and directing successful technology firms focused on Data Center power, cooling and processing verticals. A serial entrepreneur, Rudy counts multiple innovative companies among his success stories, including Validus DC Systems, Quality Uptime Systems, Harmonics Limited, Horizon Line Technologies and others. He has partnered extensively with US based Fortune 500 firms leading venture capital, technology design and team building practices.
Rudy has participated in over $200MM in data center design and construction projects, holds several technology data center patents, including, electrical, mechanical and software cloud processing applications.
He is a graduate of the University of Bridgeport, retired from the United States Marine Corps where he served as a pilot and logistician. Rudy maintains electrical contracting licenses, multiple commercial pilot licenses and presently holds a number of board positions.
Henry Urick has been President and CEO of Cornerstone SMR, where he transformed the company to a new level of IoT technology. As SVP Marketing for Tribune Entertainment, he won the New York Film Festival Gold Award for “Best Television Program Promotional Campaign” and “Best Internet Site” as the division increased revenue by $54M.
Urick was SVP Marketing at Rysher Entertainment, a division of Cox Communications that increased revenue by $203M. He also authored the winning proposals which launched the California and Florida lotteries – two of the nation’s largest.
Henry has a bachelor of Business Administration and holds a lifetime FCC General Class license. He recently launched KHUG 97.5 FM, a new public radio station serving the Santa Clarita Valley of California.
